La pandemia y los efectos causados en la educación en América Latina y el Caribe

El objetivo del presente artículo es analizar los efectos relevantes causados por el confinamiento en tiempo de pandemia, con respecto al ámbito educativo en Latinoamérica y países del Caribe. Para ello se realizó una búsqueda bibliográfica con criterios de inclusión específicos, en revistas electrónicas de diversas disciplinas siguiendo las recomendaciones del estándar PRISMA, se extrajeron 43 artículos de los cuales fueron seleccionados 10 para la revisión. El 100% de los artículos analizados hacen referencia a una afectación que causo la pandemia en la educación, teniendo como variables de estudios, la falta de aparatos electrónicos, el estrés causado en los docentes, la falta de capacitación docente para poder impartir clases en modalidad virtual, la desigualdad social y la falta de recursos económico, siendo la población infantil y juvenil la más afectada ante esta situación. Se concluye que los estudios sobre pandemia y educación tienen resultados similares negativos. Los hallazgos resaltaron las afectaciones causadas a los docentes y estudiantes, teniendo adaptarse de manera acelerada a una nueva modalidad de estudio, dado el corto tiempo de estudio durante el último año, se considera necesario realizar más estudios con diseños y metodologías rigurosas. The pandemic and its effects on education in Latin America and the Caribbean ABSTRACT The objective of this article is to analyze the relevant effects caused by confinement in times of pandemic, with respect to the educational field in Latin America and Caribbean countries. For this, a bibliographic search was carried out with specific inclusion criteria, in electronic journals of various disciplines following the recommendations of the PRISMA standard, 43 articles were extracted, of which 10 were selected for review. 100% of the articles analyzed refer to an affectation caused by the pandemic in education, having as study variables, the lack of electronic devices, the stress caused in teachers, the lack of teacher training to be able to teach classes in modality virtual, social inequality and lack of economic resources, with the child and youth population being the most affected by this situation. It is concluded that studies on pandemic and education have similar negative results. The findings highlighted the effects caused to teachers and students, having to quickly adapt to a new study modality, given the short study time during the last year, it is considered necessary to carry out more studies with rigorous designs and methodologies.
