Further advances in stereo and multi-view video, 3D graphics, spatial audio, Wii-like interface, 3D displays, and other multi-modal sensory devices, all contributing to acquisition, generation, display and control of new 4D media, already have and will have major impact on the next generation of multimedia systems and networks. In this talk we will discuss vision of active 4D multimedia delivery systems and the challenges of providing interactive, immersive participation and pervasive 4D delivery to millions of viewers.
