With vast amount of people joining the workforce and huge traffic jam in the capital, it becomes very difficult for city dwellers to manage family life. In this paper, we present a simple shopping assistant that keeps track of the items needs to be purchased by the user. It also searches in the background for the desired items and reports to the user on close by shops where the items would be available. The general acceptance of this app is found to be quite high. The novelty of this paper is twofold: (1) designing a shopping assistant, and (2) analysing the user acceptability.
