The proposed system utilizes the beam coding technique in order to generate multiple shifted-angle beams toward the aircraft. To determine the position in both range and deviation angle, an airborne receiver employs a cross correlator to acquire position information. The implementation of the receiver involves software design, building, and testing on a Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) device and LabVIEW environment.
