Uncontrollable Behavior and Restraints Policy Analysis

Psychiatric settings use medical intervention as a restraint to reduce risk demonstrated by violent patients from harming themselves and others (Regan, Wilhoite, Faheem, Wright, & Hamer, 2006). Restraint is an intervention used in the treatment and management of violent behaviors in psychiatry (McCue, Urcuyo, Lilu, Tobias, & Chambers, 2004).
