This stage is mandatory in order to determine if two analog signals, one considered “target” and the other “reference”, have a certain amount of similarity and the “target” waveform maintain its integrity reported to the “reference” waveform. This analysis can be used for diagnosis of conditioning circuits of the vibro-acoustic data acquisition systems in order to verify the analogic signals passing through the preconditioning circuits of the AD converters. A cross-correlation algorithm is used to quantify the integrity of the “target” signal respect to the “reference” signal.
