Impact of Offered Load on Performance of Routing Protocols in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks
This paper presents a performance review of OLSR, DYMO, AODV and DSR routing protocols in Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANET). We used QualNet5.0 for conducting simulations. Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR) and end-to-end Delay were used as parameters to gauge the performance of a routing protocol over a range of mobile networking scenarios. We show that offered load is more significant factor in differentiating routing protocol performance than mobility. Therefore the behavior of different routing protocols can be differentiated by varying the offered load.
