Spanish abstract: Los crecientes avances en el campo de la tecnología que han venido siendo aplicados al área laboral de las organizaciones, fomentan todo tipo de tendencias que deben estar en la agenda de estudio del gerente moderno, en el presente ejercicio académico se realiza un recuento por la historia de la humanidad evidenciando como la tecnología ha afectado el transcurso de la economía y la vida misma de las personas, posteriormente se aterriza a la organización y se evidencia en que ha afectado y los pronósticos que se han realizado en torno al tema de igual forma se invita al gerente a hacer énfasis en aquellas características de los empleados, las cuales le brindan ventaja frente a la automatización.

English abstract: The growing advances in the field of technology that have been applied to the work area of organizations, encourage all kinds of trends that should be on the agenda of study of the modern manager, in this academic year is made a recount by the history of humanity showing how technology has affected the course of the economy and the very life of people, then lands to the organization and is evident that it has affected and the forecasts that have been made on the subject likewise invites the manager to emphasize those characteristics of employees, which give him an advantage over automation.
