The method used in the study was a qualitative method. The results of data analysis obtained from five thinking stages based on Van Hiele's theory that theoretical of grade XI science 2 students of State Senior High School 6 Lubuklinggau only at stage 0 to stage 2, meanwhile at stage 3 and stage 4 the level of thinking of students of class XI 2 Science 2 State Senior High School 6 Lubuklinggau was still having difficulties in drawing conclusions from general matters towards specific matters and at this stage it is also a stage of thinking that is high, complicated and complex.
