The acquisition of instantaneous values for currents and voltages allows the proposed system to calculate several parameters that characterize the power quality (level components with the root mean square values of measured harmonics, average Fast Fourier Transform, THD factor, deforming residue, distortion factor, unbalanced voltages/currents and so on). All of these parameters can be monitored and recorded within a time frame set by the system user.
