A smart technology enabled knowledge society-interfaced with the industry academia innovation platform
Reaping the benefits of the demographic dividends of the large youth population of India, experts in the Economic and Knowledge Sector predict that India is poised to become one of the largest economies of the World. Leaders from policy-making, industry and academia should be in action and charting out a Road Map to convert this speculation into a reality. The setting up of Knowledge Society (ies) for various socio-economic sectors, encompassing the lives of numerous cross-sections of society, should be the target achievement for those steering the apex bodies in the country. Smart technologies are supposed to be the backbone of each of these knowledge societies. Academia plays a pivotal rule in training the youth to pick up skills and knowledge of new technologies. They should have a mindset to adopt and adapt to these technologies effortlessly. Each knowledge society will conform to a specific sector i.e. health, renewable energy, manufacturing etc. Each society should follow a pyramidal structure with a bidirectional flow of knowledge through a Digital Highway Connect. Though each level of society may be geographically apart, this Smart Data Connect enables the timely and right infusion of technology to build up an inclusive, resilient and sustainable Economy.
