STATE PROGRAM «CULTURAL HERITAGE» - THE KEY TO NATIONAL UNITY AND NATIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS

The article considers the aims and objectives of the state program "Cultural Heritage" and issues of its implementation. After independence of Kazakhstan, it had task of getting rid of old communist ideology and reviving its national values. The relevance of the state program "Cultural Heritage" is solving these issues. The authors analyze results of implementation of the program: set of works related to the research, study and collection, preservation, promotion, use of the historical and cultural heritage of the people of Kazakhstan, the possibility of increasing the recognition and prestige of the culture of Kazakhstan abroad. The role of the results of the program is revealed in the modernization of the historical consciousness of the nation, the renewal and promotion of public consciousness, the formation of national identity and national consciousness.
