The basics characteristics of the proposed control scheme is that permits the operation of the converter in four quadrants, giving full control on the active and reactive power and current harmonics absorbed by the converter. The control scheme is designed for the application in multilevel converters. The control scheme is described in terms of principles of operations, and the operation in the four quadrant regions.
