As more simulators interact through DIS, the complexity of the training systems increases. This, in turn, increases the work load on the instructor. Students are performing more complex tasks that cannot be viewed at a glance to determine their state. If an instructor has several students to monitor, it is difficult to track what each student is doing at any given time. One solution to this is to offload the instructor by interpreting and evaluating the student actions via computer programs. This can be accomplished through the use of advanced computer interpretation techniques.
