On the Question of the Dating and Origin of the Passage of the Parchment Psalter BAN, 4.5.11(Syrku 3)

The article is devoted to the dating and origin of the parchment passage indicated in the title. It is customary to date the manuscript to the XV century (with clarification – the beginning or the first half of the century). There is an opinion expressed almost 40 years ago by an authoritative Bulgarian paleographer that the fragment is of Wallachian-Moldavian origin. The author believes that the monument was painted in western Bulgaria in the first half or middle of the XIV century. This explains the West Bulgarian spelling features and the proximity of the fragment’s handwriting to Serbian manuscripts of this time.
