Two of the limiting factors in a LiFi network are the co-channel interference (CCI) and blockage. In this paper, a cooperative multipoint joint transmission (CoMP-JT) scheme in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM)-based LiFi downlink network has been proposed to alleviate these issues. The main idea of CoMP-JT in LiFi is to serve mobile user equipment with multiple downlink transmitters. A transmitter assignment scheme and a proportional fairness scheduling scheme have been presented.
