Secrecy Rate Optimization for IRS-Aided MIMO Cognitive Radio Systems with SWIPT
This paper investigates a secure simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) cognitive radio (CR) system with the aid of an intelligent reflecting surface (IRS). To maximize the secrecy rate of the secondary user (SU) in the system while guaranteeing the minimum harvested energy requirement at the energy receiver (ER) and the tolerable interference power at the primary users (PUs), the precoding matrix, the artificial noise (AN) covariance at the secondary transmitter (ST) and the phase shift matrix at the IRS are optimally designed. By exploiting the inexact block coordinate descent (IBCD) method, the optimal solutions are found to achieve the maximum secrecy rate. By numerical simulation results, we investigate the achievable secrecy rate performance for various system settings to give insights into the effectiveness of using the IRS into secure CR SWIPT MIMO systems.
