AVAs range from time-lapse video recorders through freeze frame capture units and small loop action replay systems to DIAMOND (Direct Image Assessment on Demand) type systems. The DIAMOND system presents a sequence of images immediately before and after an alarm to help the operator to decide the cause of the alarm.
