The proposed research will determine if establishing benchmarks in the areas of environmental protection and sustainable development can improve maritime logistical planning to reduce environmental impacts. The analysis of the environmental goals of the ports will assist the managers in establishing environmental performance measures. The study results will be applied to a reference guide for ports in Morocco and other countries.
