Maria Grzegorzewska's doctoral dissertation in the context of the development of psychological sciences at that time and some aspects of her biography

This article is an introduction to Maria Grzegorzewska's doctoral dissertation on the development of aesthetic feelings in children and adolescents. It presents the course of her education at the International Pedological Faculty in Brussels and the Sorbonne in Paris, the value of her doctoral dissertation in the context of the development of psychology at that time, and the circumstances surrounding the change in her interests and life plans, which led to the creation of an original concept of teacher education and the establishment of the National Institute of Special Education.
