PENINGKATAN DAYA SAING UMKM PEREMPUAN MELALUI COMPARATIVE ADVANTAGE: Study pada UMKM “Keripik Tempe Rohani” di Sentra Keripik Sanan, Kota Malang

UMKM “keripik tempe rohani”  has contributed in increasing the local economic level and has provided job opportunity for women in Kampung Sanan Malang city.  At the moment, there are more UMKM of tempe chips that are established at Sentra Kripik Sanan in Malang. Thus, it creates a competitive atmosphere among the traders. In fact, there is decreasing in revenue and production as the effect of a highly competitive market. There fore, there must be an action taken to increase its competitiveness on UMKM “keripik tempe rohani” .  The study aims to determine: (a) the financial and economic potential; (b) the ability to create strategic products; (c) technology and process ability; and (d) organizational competence. The study used descriptive research where the data taken from interview, obcervation and documentation. The research shows that the competitiveness in UMKM “keripik tempe rohani” has increased although there are still more obstacless, especially relate to the lack of women resources, and fluctuation of book prices.
