On the example of financial establishments in Siberian districts we can carry out the analysis of stylistic research in Russian provincial architecture of the end of the XIXfi and the beginning of the XX* century the epoch which has marked the origin of new art and functional laws. The Bank system in Siberia began to develop only after the construction of the Siberian railway, because of general revival of commercial and industrial activities and because of the development of capitalism. Till 1894 therewere only 3 branches of the Siberian trade bank that made operations on the territory of Siberia, and, besides there were Popov,~ public bank in Tomsk and Medvednikova,s public bank in Irkutsk. As A.V. Andrianova stated ((The economic life of the country was impassible in Tomsk credit organisation)). The intensive and energetic appearance of bank establishments in Siberia begins since 1894. Originally, as a rule, the credit-financial establishments were placed in rented rooms, but shortage of the areas, and high prices of their rent on the one hand and expansion of the sphere of ministries activity on another, have made their local leaders build their own buildings. The town planning situation which has been usual already by the middle of the XIX* century, influenced on the formation of many architectural features, which indicated a new quality of eclecticism. Let's compare two typical monuments of provincial architecture of the second half of the XIX* centyry the building of a branch of State bank in Tomsk and the building of the Siberian trade bank. These buildings are constructed in a transitive style epoch, when in a theme of eclecticism the note of a modern style was already heard. The first building, concerns to the architectural structures, which promoted the formation of a certain ((person)) of the city and its structure. It is located in the centre of the city and has the advanced nform of the plan with two lateral wings and extensions, both with the northern, and with the southern parties. The building has an original architectural decorative treatment in an eclectic manner. The city affected of the formation second building. The specific conditions of dense building have predetermined not only the dimensions of the facade, but also a complex structurere of its plan, that is a characteristical attribute of the architecture of the city in the end of the XIX th and in the beginning of the XX* centuries, which has reflected a historical process of the development of the capitalist relations in Siberia. Tomsk had all typical attributes of capitalist cities by that time the dense buildings, uncomfortable autskirts and others. The external shape of a building has not undergone the special changes. The decorative processing of facades is made in spirit of modem style. The walls are decorated stucco moulding 'with a pattern combining geometrical and stylistic vegetative figures. Two volumes, the components of one building ,have &figurative form of the plan.
