Impact of Micro Finance on the Capacity Building of Rural Women - A Study in Vellore District (Tamil Nadu, India)

Capacity is the ability of the people to manage their affairs and capacity development is the process where they strengthen and maintain their abilities over a period of time. Capacity building refers to strengthening the ability to undertake economic, social and political activities and enhance self confidence, self worth, self esteem and self respect. Capacity building makes women to move from marginality to centrality in decision making process.
