Hassan","doi":"10.21608/ejnhs.2022.271498","DOIUrl":null,"url":null,"abstract":"BACKGROUND: Systematic nursing refers to combination of systematic health education and routine nursing intervention including psychology, diet, exercise, follow-up and also incorporation of family in treatment. The most prevalent gynecological issue is dysfunctional uterine bleeding, which occurs in approximately 10-35 % of women. AIM : The study aimed to evaluate the effect of application of systematic nursing intervention on women with dysfunctional uterine bleeding. DESIGN: A quasi-experimental design was utilized . SETTING : This study was conducted in Obstetrics and Gynecology department and Outpatient Clinics at Benha University Hospitals. SAMPLE: A Purposive sample included 87 women was used and divided into two groups (control and study group). TOOLS: A structured interviewing questionnaire, a self-rating anxiety scale, a quality-of-life questionnaire, and a women's satisfaction questionnaire were the four tools utilized to collect the data. RESULTS: The total quality of life score and total knowledge score of both groups before and after program application had a highly statistically significant positive correlation, while the total quality of life score and total anxiety score of both groups before and after program application had a highly statistically significant negative correlation CONCLUSION: Based on results obtained from this research, hypothesis was achieved and supported and also, founded that Systematic nursing intervention was effective in preventing physical complications of dysfunctional bleeding as: shock, infection, anemia and also, psychological complications as: fear and anxiety.
