Knowledge and Prevention of Repetitive Strain Injury Among Computer Users
Now computer has become an important part of human life in doing jobs. The growth of computer technology results in a big amount of The Internet use for virtual interaction. This phenomenon makes people willing to sit in front of their computer for more than 5 hours one day. Using computer more than 5 hours a day causes a risk of Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) or Cummulative Trauma Disorder (CTD), assigned as work-related category of musculoskeletal disorders. This study involved 140 respondents that had experienced in working with computers. This study used a survey method. Data were analyzed by using Descriptive Statistic to know the understanding of computer users against RSI or CTD injury. The results showed that respondents in this study did not care about RSI or CTD.
