Peculiarità Sintattiche Del Linguaggio Della Caricatura

The word " caricature " is an Italian word of origin, in the sense of " exaggerating ". It is considered the public overview that consistently highlights and comments - in an exaggerated humorous way- on the most salient facts of political life. It is not only a simple satirical tool which causes laughter and hilarity, but also a vital tool for allegorically criticizing society, customs, religions, and politics through paradoxical and satirical methods. The caricature has a great worldwide influence so that a simple comic can cause violent or terrorist acts as happened on the 7th of January 2015 when the headquarters of the French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo was attacked by some terrorists. This magazine is devoted to publishing desecrating articles and comics regarding religions and politics. The caricatures that were the reason behind the attack concerned the figure of the Prophet Muhammad. The article deals with the syntactic analysis of caricature. Along with this article, I focus on the constructive brevity of the caricature language achieved through the absence of articles, the massive recourse to nominal style, a single-positioning, and a few degrees hypothesis.
