The use of the inserted GCR signal by the television receiver permits easy equalization of waveforms and elimination of ghosts. The authors have successfully developed a fully digitized ghost canceller that is compatible with the GCR signal. They have succeeded in developing a new dividing method as a ghost elimination algorithm.
