Europe to North America Super-Grid Utilizing Iceland and Greenland Renewable Energy Potential Part I: Simplified Load Profiles
The goal of this paper is to estimate the amount of energy produced in North America and Europa from conventional power sources that can be substituted with energy produced by renewable sources if both Iceland and Greenland were able to utilize their potentials in renewable energy sources. In order to estimate the impact of this work, some assumptions have been made. At the beginning of this work, it has been researched what energy sources were available in the selected regions and what their respective potential was. Additionally, load curves of North America, Greenland, Iceland and Europe have been modeled in order to present a graphical visualization.
