Statistical Analysis of the Questionnaire for Light Pollution at Sea with SPSS
In order to find out the scope and extent of the impact on ship navigation safety at night by light pollution at sea, a questionnaire was carried out and the reliability and validity of the questionnaire were checked with statistical analysis software SPSS (edition 17.0), based on a brief introduction to the design and implementation of the questionnaire for light pollution at sea. Statistical analysis was carried out on 191 valid questionnaires concerning the general opinion on the impact of light pollution at sea on ship navigation safety at night, as well as feelings of navigators with different age and positions about light pollution at sea. Detailed analysis was given to the relation between ship navigation safety at night and the impact by light pollution at sea on human visual ergonomics and identifiability of signal lights. As a result, the linear regression equation of their impact on ship navigation safety at night was obtained.
