Diversity that is presented in relation to the form of organization and functioning of the Federal Institutes of Education. This work aims to analyze and describe how gender stereotypes, differences and inequalities appear in the occupation of public positions by women in administrative technician positions at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology - Campus Lagarto, in the years 2019 to 2021. The descriptive qualitative research is supported by bibliographic and documentary sources. 37 men and 23 women were identified in the positions, observing asymmetries/prevalence of men compared to women.
