Development of hand therapy device for cerebral palsy in FKE-UiTM Capstone design subject
The objective of this paper is to report a project developed as a requirement in Electronic System Design subject. The project is Hand Therapy Device system for Cerebral Palsy kids using Arduino Microcontroller to act as the brain of the device system. The microcontroller is interfaced via Android application. The Android application communicates using Bluetooth to synchronous the data with the microcontroller. The design functions are to enable power up the device and speed control of the servo. Another value added of the design is the ability to count the movement of patient hand when using the device. From the counter we can set the count limit of therapy movement of the patient. This project has shown a successful proof of concept to assist cerebral palsy kids.
