Theft of personal data is a crime that results in many victims experiencing material and psychological losses. However, legal protection for victims has not been clearly regulated in the current law regarding legal protection for victims of personal data theft. This study discusses two important issues, namely how legal protection for victims of personal data theft through digital media and how legal protection policies for victims of personal data theft through digital media. This study uses a normative juridical research method with a statutory and conceptual approach. The nature of this research is descriptive analytical. The collection of legal materials is carried out by literature study and data analysis techniques are carried out qualitatively.
