In the first part are analyzed bibliographic references regarding compressors and gas compression installations. The second part is dedicated to the study of the particularities of the Sinca gas compression installation. The third part contains modelling elements associated with the gas compressor. In this context, elements of mathematical modelling were developed and used in order to design an advanced compressor control structure. The simulation of the gas compression installation was performed using the Unisim Design simulator.
