This phenomenon is described from the perspective of two mainly used configurations of connection of MV transformer windings. The analysis of how to detect the fault is drawn up from measurements in an MV as well as low voltage (LV) grid. Theoretical analysis is followed by a digital simulation for its verification and real measurements were also done in the grid.
