An Induction Motor: A Complete Checkup

Most NEMA motors are a standard design, while ANEMA (Above NEMA frame size) motors are custom design motors. Most distributors and end users are unfamiliar with how many checks, inspections, and tests are performed during the production of an induction motor. The initial phase starts from the end users’ specification, followed by the design, manufacturing, testing, and delivery processes. Meeting the design, manufacturing, testing, performance, suitability of environment, and end user’s satisfaction are prime concerns of an induction motor product. This paper will discuss all the above steps in depth.
