Preguntas, Lenguaje y Terapia Sistémica Centrada en Narrativa. / Questions, Language and Narrative Centered Systemic Therapy.

Este artículo pretende problematizar el lenguaje como sustento del quehacer psicoterapéutico. La Psicoterapia Sistémica Centrada en Narrativas ve al lenguaje como constitutivo y constituyente de lo humano. Insertándose en la tradición fenomenológica-hermenéutica—refiriéndose principalmente a autores como José Ortega y Gasset y Humberto Maturana— muestra lo difícil que resulta entender a cabalidad lo que el otro dice, forzando al terapeuta a preguntar constantemente “¿es eso lo que quiso decir?” para no caer en la trampa de dar por supuesto que ya entendió. Insiste en la necesidad de contextualizar el discurso para hacerlo inteligible, considerando en ello los usos sociales y mostrando la validez que tiene para este quehacer la pragmática de la comunicación humana. Se termina invitando a cada lector a que se haga cargo de sus propias creencias al momento de hacer terapia. This article pretends to problematize language seen as sustenance of the psychotherapeutic work using Systemic Narrative Centered Psychotherapy, which sees language as constitutive and constituent of human being. With reference mainly to authors such as José Ortega y Gasset y Humberto Maturana, is inserted in the phenomenological-hermeneutic tradition. It shows how difficult is to fully understand what other says, forcing the therapist to constantly ask “is that what you meant?” as a way to prevent falling into the trap of assuming he already understood. It emphasizes the need of contextualizing the discourse in order to make it intelligible, considering the social uses and also shows the validity of the pragmatism in human communication. Finally invites each reader to take care of his or her own beliefs at the time of doing therapy.
