Processing spatial information is impossible without a mathematical and analytical modeling technological processes, implementation of analytical procedures as well as implementation of special algorithms for generating databases. This article discusses the conceptual issues of GIS projects for effective management of the gas distribution network. The authors offer an algorithm for creating geospatial databases on the gas industry enterprises. A particular attention is devoted to information support as well as compiling engineering documentation needed for implementation of effective tools for territorial dependent management.
