It uses a mathematical model called integer programming in which the decision variable is an integer. In this case study, a total of 190 townhouse projects have been designed by the decision maker using three methods: the conventional system, the load bearing structure precast system, and the skeleton frame system. Our study found that when applying the optimization technique during the construction planning phase, the objective function for the project’s minimum construction cost was 359.171 million Baht (${\\$}11.22$ million), within a total project duration of 55 months.
