In the paper, on the basis of expounding the connection between art and medical treatment, it reviews the development of art therapy and the present situation of education. By virtue of the developmental orientation theory and behavioral orientation theory of visual art therapy, specific treatment mechanisms for children with physical and mental disorder is made an analysis. After entering the education system, Art therapy has played an important role in special education and counseling in schools. Not only is it reflected in the classroom students, but also it has an impact on the educational atmosphere of the school.
