It used secondary data from the Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS) 5th edition. This study used quantitative methods with multiple linear analysis techniques performed in R-Studio. The results showed that the estimated score of migration status on the welfare variable was -0.17565 for life satisfaction, -0.222443 . for household living conditions, and -0.208113 . for happiness. It indicated that migration carried out by society does not necessarily improve welfare. Moreover, regarding migration purpose on the welfare variable, the estimated score was 0.08649** for life satisfaction, 0.041349* for household living conditions, and 0.024329 for happiness. It indicated that there many people who percieved that migrating to cities is an option to become more prosperous. Further, in regard to the reasons for migration on the welfare variable, the estimated score was -0.07070 for life satisfaction, 0.007768 for household living conditions, and 0.017435 for happiness. These findings indicated that migration reasons, such as reasons for looking for work in destined locations, do not necessarily make migrants more prosperous. Overall, this study's results indicated that two of the three migration variables show an insignificant relationship to the welfare variable.
