Information systems were designed to fulfill specific needs of an organization, such as, among others, customer relation management, planning of organization resources, and customer experience. Concerning the testing and calibration laboratory, a specific information system is designed to fulfill the requirements expressed by the standard EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017–Laboratory Information Management System. The research explores the design phase of a Laboratory Information Management System adopted to an EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited testing and calibration laboratory by using adequate modeling techniques, especially in the domains of conceptual and information modeling.
