A New Approach in DC Circuit Design of Shunt Active Power Filters
This paper presents new relationships for designing the DC voltage and the compensating capacitor in shunt active power filtering systems. The proposed relationships are the result of theoretical investigations correlated by detailed analysis on the virtual models in two case studies. A comparison with existing relationships in the literature proves the advantage of of the proposed relationships from economic point of view. Moreover, the comparison of filtering performances through investigation on the virtual SIMULINK model highlights important advantages and supports their accuracy.
