This study aimed to interpret billboards used in Malaysia and Indonesia. The method of this study was a qualitative research approach. The objects in this research were billboards that used in Malaysia and Indonesia. The techniques of collecting data were observation and documentation. The data were analysed by using Roland Barthes semiology in order to analyse the signifier and signified of billboards implemented in Malaysia and Indonesia and then to find the meaning of denotation and connotation signs. The result of this study shows that billboards used in Malaysia and Indonesia have some similarities and differences.
