Measurement of Thermophysical Properties of Mortar Filled by Polymer Filaments by Pulse Transient Technique
The thermophysical properties of building construction materials are demanded at each application where the materials are used in the final utilization. The mortar filled with polyvinyl polymer fibers is intended to use as the thermal contact filler in energetic needles to improve the heat transfer in between the heat exchanger pipe and the stainless steel embodiment. The problem is with the pores of mortar that should be filled by silicone oil that is part of thermal heat silicone compound (Dow Corning) used to improve the heat transfer between the probes and specimen body. Adding some oil-proof layer causes additional disturbance effects at the measurement. The aim of this work was to avoid these effects. The solution was found in the model that accounts the contact resistance between the heat source and specimen as well as the heat capacity of the heat source that are active during the recording of the temperature response to the heat pulse.
