We reviewed the related research and conducted a bibliometric analysis. The PRISMA chart showed the data acquisition process of 198 articles in the Scopus database from 2000 up to 2021. The study found an exponential increase in the number of articles published. This research analyzed published data on this topic. VOS viewer performed bibliometric analysis, which is a tool for visualizing and exploring network analysis related to the topic. The keyword co-occurrence network was classified into four clusters: 1) The management for competitive advantage, 2) The innovation performance of SMEs, 3) sustainable innovative development, and 4) The entrepreneurial orientation in SMEs. The study revealed the trend of the research that involved open innovation, innovation capability, and business model innovation.
