Given the ongoing reality of climate change, green technologies have been recognised as a useful mean to mitigate its effect. Alongside this, knowledge diffusion has been seen as a key to develop green technologies and promote innovation. This paper examines the interconnections between science and technology in green technologies by investigating the scholarly work cited in patents.
