Average dynamics of the optical soliton in communication lines with dispersion management: Analytical results
Applying asymptotic methods we present an analytical description of the
slow dynamics of breathing pulses propagating in fiber links with
dispersion management. We derive asymptotic averaged quantities which
characterize the stable pulse propagation. For the practically
important case of local high dispersion we have found fixed points
describing dispersion-managed solitons.
