A novel simulation system of marine propeller load characteristics
This paper presents a novel efficient simulation system of marine propeller load characteristics for electric propulsion motor examination. The simulation system is realized based on real-time simulation and control technique by MATLAB and data acquisition card, the cage induction motors and power electronics converters with relative control strategies are adopted for basic control. The control strategies, including field oriented control and synchronous current PI control, are described in detail. In order to test the simulation system, a 30 W prototype is built. The simulation and experimental results indicate that the simulation system is valid, and provides a good reference for the realization of future large power simulation system
