To support authors' benefits, reduce brokerage, identify accidence-raised liabilities, and make fair reviews to inspire quality writings, an author-centered media blockchain ecosystem is proposed and its principles, technical design and implementation issues are discussed in this article. The media ecosystem is operated autonomously on a smart contract-based consortium blockchain, with which three public facilities are provided for the participants, i.e., a composing service for authors, a media service for publishers, and an evaluation service for third-party creditworthiness providers. The media ecosystem repositions the authors' and the publishers' role involved in the publishing process, in which the authors' writings would neither be submitted to, nor evaluated by the media. The authors hold their writings and have the right to release them through the ecosystem. The writings are evaluated by a third-party creditworthiness provider and their information on composing, updating, reading, circulating and comments are traced and won't be interfered.
