The second formative opinion understands the actions covering a professional expert remotely with the use of computer resources and telecommunications to another professional. The expert transmits information and knowledge so the applicant is directed to the clinical decision making. The objective of this paper is to analyze the scientific production on “second opinion formation in health” in Brazilian literature, following a bibliometric analysis to answer the question: Studies on information technology in supporting the second formative opinion on public health and are being presented? Were analyzed 61 articles from 2007 to 2014.It can be observed that the number of publications over the period analyzed was growing.
